Why timothyj ?

Above all Kitchen and Bath designers in Wisconsin timothyj, Inc., (Lead by Tim Benkowski) was THE design/restoration team trusted and chosen to do Project 6910. At this time (03/09/2010) we are nearing the home stretch, (Phase 7 the job at completion)is here!. Not for a single moment have I regretted selecting timothyj, Inc. Indeed, to the contrary I have repeatedly noted just how lucky I was to have selected this particular group of professionals. The house is very old and had seen at least one highly questionable structural alteration sometime between 1906 and 1961 which only became apparent during demolition.

Had I not chosen timothyj (a company who is certified to "do it all" as you will read below) I may have ended up hiring multiple companies to deal with the structural inadequacies left behind by the previous "alteration." However, there's nothing you can throw at timothyj that they aren't fully certified and/or competent to handle themselves and if they aren't sure they should tackle a particular "situation" they have the integrity to find the best specialist to assist. It wasn't Until after the demolition (see Phase3 photos) that I could possibly have understood how critical all their certifications, years of training and most importantly their integrity would be to the quality of the job they would do. I hit the jackpot with timothyj and months later (much to my family's amazement) they are still putting up with me! :D

The site will be updated as the process continues, stay tuned...

Kent McKelevy - Secretary/Treasurer

With close to four decades of history in the construction industry and related fields, Kent entered the interior side of the industry in the late eighties. Asked to be the general manager of a family owned interior design store and small manufacturing facility, it has been a good move.

A few years later, the seed was planted to learn the cabinet business and the challenge of design and the ability to use engineering, construction and creative skills proved addictive and rewarding.

With an education through post graduate in engineering and business, experienced as a business owner and a long history in the construction industry as a sales engineer; designing kitchens and baths and doing remodel projects offered the chance to utilize those many skills.

As senior designer for a large volume kitchen and interior company with hundreds of designers and subsequently a prestigious high end design firm offering mid price to luxury cabinets, Kent has experienced just about every phase of the cabinet industry.

Carolynn Brill - Associate Designer

You know it's a passion when you leave your first career after 25 years because you can no longer resist the pull of another industry. Kitchen designer Carolynn Brill did just that.

With her past experience in IT, she brings to the Kitchen & Bath Industry a strength in understanding technology. And, with technology driving everything from appliance manufacturing to the software used in kitchen design, that's certainly a distinguishing benefit for Timothy J. Kitchen & Bath clients!

Colors, textures, space planning, and the balance of design make powerful statements in her work. Experience at both a high-end tile/plumbing firm and a design /build firm, impressively expand her knowledge base. She's an interior design graduate of Milwaukee Area Technical College and a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), Color Association and International Facility Management Association (IFMA).

The seeing of new sights via travel, equestrian sports, running, yoga and art history round out the days of Carolynn Brill.
